December 2006
Randy Hill, President of APT Advanced Trailer & Equipment, announces that APT is postponing any expansion plans due to concerns over the delay of the funding provisions in the 2002 Farm Bill. APT Advanced Trailer’s primary business is a drying trailers used in the drying of agricultural crops. The farm bill, set to expire in September 2007, leaves key funding provisions out of the final year of the bill. Hill adds, “Congress has failed to resolve the issue leaving many peanut farmers opting to grow much more profitable crops like corn and wheat used for ethanol.”
