Randy Hill, President of APT Advanced Trailer & Equipment, announces plans to retire from the retail trailer business in Tye, Texas.
Randy retained the worldwide auction firm Ritchie Bros to sell the assets and property in late September. In early January, APT executives started exploring options of selling the business to allow Hill to pursue other business interests. The company has been listed nationally since earlier this year but people familiar to the situation say that recent delays in the U.S. Farm Bill negotiations and key provisions that congressional leaders have failed to address played a factor in Hill’s decision.
